Jay-Z Shut Down Chris Brown at the BET Awards?
The Source claims that Jay-Z threatened to cancel his performance at last night’s BET Awards if Chris Brown was allowed to perform his scheduled tribute to Michael Jackson. Though Brown had rehearsed for the show three days in advance, Jay-Z used his considerable influence to shut him down, most likely as a form of revenge against the singer, who has been charged with domestic abuse against Rihanna. As a result of this last-minute decision, Ne-Yo and Jamie Foxx were forced to play extra songs to fill up time in the broadcast.

My thoughts on this…

Jay Z now plays for the mighty whitey team. He obviously does not understand the danger of what he has done and played into the hands of white America to destroy and otherwise neutralize Black star power.

Jay made his money exploiting and denigrating Black women and promoting a fake ass gangsta life style that led young Black men to doom and damnation – he glorified fornication, pimpin and simpin and now that he is loved for making billions for mighty whitey and the white media and music industry he is accepted by white main stream and sips alcohol on the French Riviera — a true master player for the white enslaver. JayZ is a new millennium Uncle Tom – and unfortunately viewed as some type of Black hero -

I guess he wants to show Black wannabees they have to come through him and not mess with any of his women.

I don't know Dr. Young I think Jay-Z reserves the right to express his dislike and take a stand against anything he chooses. Would you appear with little Chris if he had beat the shit out of one of the women you're close to, I definitely wouldn't . I think Jay-Z was simply making a statement nothing more. If someone does something against Black people as a whole we all have something to say about it so why can't someone take a stand against someone who's violated a Black woman? Now a true Gotti move would have been Jay-Z sending some goons to beat the shit out of Chris' ass.
come on man...i'll say this, Chris Brown should not have been performing anyway....remember, he beat Rhianna's ass like she stole something from his mother...he doesn't need to be in the public spotlight right now...MJ tribute or not...he would of definitely been a nice addition had he not been whupping Rhianna's ass....what about Don Cornelius???
While watching the B.E.T. awards I was wondering....will there be a REAL Michael Jackson tribute? There are only a few that could pull it off....Chris Brown, Usher, Justin Timberlake and maybe Omarion. As I watched I figured that because of the legal precedings that Chris Brown would NOT be allowed to perform. Usher was overseas so that was out.
I will say that this show was the "JAMIE & NE-YO" show. They did their best to salute MJ, and did well. Chris Brown and/or Usher doing a dance routine would've sealed the tribute, but alas, neither were present.
I hope these allegations against Jay-Z aren't factual because it will be such a detriment to hip hop and African American artists as a whole. But it's nothing new. Some make it and block others out for any reason.
Let's all remember MJ as the greatest and pray for today's artists. NONE of them will ever taste that kind of success. And with the horrific public ridicule and torture that Michael endured none of them would be able to stand it.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson
What Jay did was way beyond taking a stand. It is alleged, he used a threat to get a Black man kicked off the show - and if he did and BET complied - that is crossing the line - a major legal line. It is the same shyt mighty whitey did to our folks - fire the nig@@er or I won't work - and the employer that complies found out they also broke the law - Federal Law and Labor Law.

Maybe he will send some goons - but I doubt he is built that way - he is sipping the plantation cool aid now - far from the old J. I understand your hating on Chris because of what happened to your mother - but remember Chris and the young lady were not Ike and Tina nor were they a case study in years of a spouse abusing a spouse - They were a young Black teen couple that was living a fast tract celeb life - leased limos and jewelry etc. - Young Black stars - Chris made a mistake - Chris is not a mad dog, despite how the media and many who chimed in and voiced that he was or tried to paint him to be. Fact is had they been young White celebs the matter would have been handled differently and the D.A. would not have pushed for a felony - J made a foul bytch move and what we called back in the day - a back stabbing move - I am surprised he did not ask to be able to testify in court.

A real man up move would have been for J to do the beat down himself - man to man - instead of a back office back stab play kissing mighty whitey's but to hurt the young man's biz and media exposure. By the way, one of the strongest moves the Mafia used in the music industry to get what they wanted centered on threats of one type or another. J may have opened the door to Chris being able to sue him if what J did is true - in fact he could probably sue BET as one of the conspirators in the scenario to block his performance. Or maybe some would like to see Chris lynched.

Despite if he is innocent or guilty, that’s not Jay Z’s business. He needs to worry about his own relationship and what the media will do to him if he ever screws up. We all saw what they did to MJ. I didn’t see anyone banning Jay Z from the B.E.T. awards when he continuously labeled women as bitches through out the course of his career. Not only did he get a pat on his back from Oprah, but a spot to perform at Obama’s after party. Bitches, Drug Dealing, American Gangster. Now how does that fit into politics?
Ibn...hot track I like that. But I still don't see J playin for the other team (whytey)
I say put Chris on & let the audience decide kind of like "Sand man" on Showtime At The Apollo."lol
No hero in my eyes.... There's a spiritual war going and folks need to realize it .... Jay Z is demonic just like his 'WIFE" and any other stars u see on t.v. all day every day.... They are possessed especially Rihanna... They have no control over their minds body or soul

I feel sorry for Chris Brown and wish that I could reach out to him... I have a very IMPORTANT message to deliver to him..
Melanated ppl need to raise their awareness in order to play this chess game and stop trying to play checkers

If Al Sharpton had a hand in depriving Chris of an opportunity he is a bigger snake and simpin pimp wanabe Black leader than thought. He has always been an opportunist and a player to the media under the auspices of speaking for Civil Rights. It looks like he has forgotten what the Civil Rights laws say about depriving a man of his rights to pursue his lively hood without being black balled - locked out - or discriminated against. White media and the court got the a felony on another Black American and a socalled Black preacher is alleged to have joined White power and the jealous heart Jay Z to kick a young Black man while he was down - Shame on Al Sharpton - he must really be hoping BET gives him a reality show. With people like Sharpton and Jay on the case WHite America can laugh. We thought the House Nig222rs were gone in America. Chris should fight and protect his Civil RIghts not to be subjected to nigg223r gangster tactic of Sharpton and Jay Z and Bet - What is happening Black America??

Gatecrasher news on the web writes:
According to several insiders, Brown’s appearance was considered risky business on a night honoring Michael Jackson. The “No Air” singer is facing negative publicity after pleading guilty to the February assault of his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
One source says Brown’s absence came at the insistence of the Rev. Al Sharpton. “Al made such a fuss to the BET executives that they pulled Chris,” says our insider, who adds that Jay-Z also had a hand in the decision. “Jay is a big name in the BET community, and he was very vocal about his displeasure with Chris attending the ceremony. He didn’t want Chris anywhere near the awards so close to the court’s ruling.”
Brown isn’t taking the public dis on the chin, either. “He’s furious,” a pal of the singer tells us. “BET asked him to perform and waited until the last minute to tell him it was off. He’s pretty shocked and outraged right now.”

Excellent post. Al Sharpton is just as guilty as well. What kind of reverend doesn't "forgive"?
The snake Al Sharpton will probably try to block Chris from performing at the Appollo. Let us see or may be him and Jay Z will picket and request the District Attorney to file some other charges against. The prosecutors probably told the young lady since she filed the complaint if she wanted to withdraw the charge they would jail her for making a false charge. I believe she is sorry she called the White Police and wished she had called her manager and Chris's manager first. They were licking their chops to bring another young Black American down with a felony! You see how they tried to destroy Michael Jackson and now all the White media TV tabloids are making millions and millions and all his records are back! Al Sharpton and Jay Z are frauds - Shame - and they both came from the hard life.
