@ Chris: Fuck Tony and Fuck Alex. If I was going to compare myself to any individual, it wouldn't be anyone who makes his living off of the erosion of hopes and dreams of the blacks and Latinos in the hood. Fuck all that shit.... and BTW, Joe Budden IS better than Meth and Busta (even though he never said anything to Busta..)...I know people are blinded by the Method Man name and all, but Budden takes him lyrically in close one....at least thats my opinion....

Also, Drake will not go diamond. No artist will go diamond in this current technological era of music until they do what I suggest below......

@ Darnell: I hear what your saying, but the music industry doesn't need a more advanced monetary system, they need a more secure method of encryption within their digital media to thwart illegal downloading and file sharing. Its going to happen sooner or. The government ear marked over 7 billion dollars for internet 2.0 development and with Obama making all of the RIAA dealings an issue of "National Security" and sealing it from discussion, its a done deal that something will be done about it within the years to come....

@Darnell again: Actually, Drake's catalog is full of pretty witty lyricism. The guy is actually pretty good. The thing is that his material is basically two extremes. Its either the ridiculous, or its really good. So far the majority of individuals have only been exposed to the ridiculous because of who he chose to affiliate himself with......the Kings Of Coon, Cash Money Records.....

Darnell, Cee-Lo can spit with the best of them. That's lava hot. I used to live in Atlanta when they dropped and like Leaders of the New, you knew that Cee-Lo was the guy(like busta). Now to CES. I am a real hip-hop head, plus I know the music industry. When I rhymed for Craig Mack and his DJ 45 they asked me what part of New York was I from. I told them South Carolina. They were in shock. I don't care for MOST of this garbage they call hip hop nowadays, but I do see the promotion behind this Drake cat! He might sell 10 mil? He's gonna have to dance with some fried chicken and white women though! If he does that, keeps doing the abc rhymes, and never drops knowledge on any of his songs...he might just be the next Jay-Z!!! 1st Chris needs to get out more. like you know every black dude(LOL) exit that t.v. world. everybody got a tupac tony tale but, Peace to real RAPPERS The 5 elements of Hip-Hop and people with the understanding cookies in those plastic bags been played out, it became a fashion again instead of a means! "Industry Standard" raises a good point all though a mute point, a very good one! People will forever take the free over the purchase b/c they think "I need it now" not knowing if you don't properly support the industry it won't be there years later. The industry is going to have to go into a more advanced monetary system. The workings of Clear Channel and the Harry Fox agency getting streams to act as performances will allow writers, composers, and performers to collect residuals which will secure the financial future of this business. LET'S GET TO THE MONEY.

Drake stuff is way better than Manio. I'm from South Cack as well and let me speak on gangsta rap and jail birds. First gangsters don't answer to no one so why are they signing record deals. So all gangstas with record deals are fake gangstas. All rappers and black men worship, love, or want to be Tony Montana. I want to be Alex Sosa. Sosa was Tony's boss and had Tony working them streets. Alex told him one time "Don't fuck me Tony". And when Tony got loud like black people love to do and said "You want to go to war! Alex just hung up and went on business as usual. Now watch you see a ton of people calling themselves Alex like me, but i been doing the shit for years. But this is a waste of time.
